NSS Unit Event Report: Republic Day Parade Participation

Event Overview
On the auspicious occasion of the 77th Republic Day, two dedicated NSS volunteers from our college’s NSS unit—Lakshikaa Shetkar and Parth Patil (both from SYBAF)—were selected to participate in the prestigious Republic Day Parade held at Shivaji Park, Dadar, Mumbai. They proudly represented VPM’s R.Z. Shah College, showcasing the spirit of service, discipline, and patriotism synonymous with our NSS initiatives.
Selection Process
The selection was highly competitive, drawing from an initial pool of 3.5 lakh students across Maharashtra. Only 75 exceptional volunteers were chosen statewide, highlighting the outstanding calibre of Lakshikaa and Parth. Their rigorous training, commitment to NSS values, and exemplary performance during trials earned them this honor.

Our volunteers marched in formation, displaying precision drills and carrying the NSS flag with pride. The event featured cultural performances, national salutes, and tributes to the tricolour, attended by thousands of spectators, dignitaries, and fellow NSS units.
Lakshikaa Shetkar and Parth Patil conducted themselves with utmost discipline, earning commendations for their poise and enthusiasm. Their participation not only elevated our college’s reputation but also inspired fellow volunteers.
